The Heritage and Cultural Society of Africa (The HACSA) organised a week Summit dubbed 400 years of Legacy, Communities and Innovation, on the 5th to 11th of August 2019 at Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
The event which coincided with Ghana’s 2019 ‘Year of return’, received the patronage of international leaders, academics, legal practitioners, students, investors all over the world, and Lady Gifty Tetteh, head of GD Chambers in the UK and founder of Africa Women In Energy (AWIE) as invited Speaker.
The aim of the summit was to have an open debate on how to reunite and reconcile affected communities and share examples of innovation and creative strategies to overcome the persistent effects of the transatlantic slave trade.
