Africa Women in Energy, AWIE

AWIE is the creation of Lady Gifty Tetteh and was conceived while studying for her postgraduate degree (LLM) in Oil and Gas. It was during this time that she was able to appreciate the stark lack of professional opportunities and representation for women of African descent in the Energy industry.

AWIE’s aim is to advance the representation of African women in the energy sector and promote gender parity and inclusion through education and employment opportunities. The initiative also welcomes opportunities to work with influential organisations and policymakers.
